2019 Houston's Heroes Awards Luncheon

It's nomination time again!

At the Houston’s Heroes Awards Luncheon, Crime Stoppers celebrates those who go above and beyond keeping our community safe. You are invited to nominate someone who has made significant contributions to safety and crime prevention.

Nominations have been EXTENDED through Saturday, January 12th! Please submit any nominations via email by this Saturday. Also, please note there are new awards for this year, specified below.

  • THE JOHNNY KLEVENHAGEN CRIME STOPPERS AWARD
    Eligible candidates are persons working in the criminal justice system that have made a significant contribution to fighting crime. Past recipients include Sgt. Doug Osterberg, the HCSO Robbery Division, the GCVOTF, the FBI Bank Robbery Task Force, KPRC's Wheel of Justice, Judge Marc Carter, Officer Ann Carrizales, the Houston Human Trafficking Task Force, Harris County District Attorney Devon Anderson, Lt. Wende Wakeman, Constable Alan Rosen, and Constable Ted Heap (2018).
  • THE FENNER WELLER CRIME STOPPERS AWARD
    Any citizen who has made a significant contribution to fighting crime is eligible for this award. Past recipients include Johnny Holmes, Dave Ward, Jack Loftis, Larry Lipton, Ted Wilson, Comcast, Kristi Schiller, Dr. Steven B. Schnee, Lee Vela, Michelle Heinz, Council Member Brenda Stardig, Senator Joan Huffman, Fenner Weller, Senator John Whitmire, and Representative John Zerwas (2018).
  • THE LEIV PLATOU CRIME STOPPERS AWARD Any citizen who has made a significant contribution to public safety as a volunteer is eligible for this award. Past recipients are Annette Baldwin, Stan Crane, Andrea Schmauss, Larry Hatfield, Gerald Magee and Andy Kahn, Tena Lundquist Faust and Tama Lundquist, Eddee Hestand, Laura S. Ward, Steve Mach, and Alan Helfman (2018).
  • THE CORPORATE PARTNERSHIP CRIME STOPPERS AWARD
    Any corporation or foundation that has shown a significant interest in keeping our community safe. Past recipients include Aramco Services Company, CenterPoint Energy, Wells Fargo, Mission Constructors, Merriman Holt Powell Architects, Scott Aronstein and Sprint (2018).
  • THE SAFE SCHOOL CRIME STOPPERS AWARD 
    Any individual or group that has made a significant contribution towards keeping our schools safe and enhancing education. Past Recipients include Gena & Chuck Norris/KICKSTART KIDS, Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, Constance White/Spindletop Charities, and Donae Cangelosi Chramosta (2018).
  • *New for 2019: THE WOMEN WHO SHAPE HOUSTON CRIME STOPPERS AWARD
    Any woman or women’s group who has made a difference in public safety.
  • **New for 2019: THE DAVE WARD MEDIA EXCELLENCE CRIME STOPPERS AWARD 
    Any entity or individual who has exhibited media excellence.
